Our hearts are heavy, we need a minute,

For that door, we weren't quite ready to shut.

but Oh, what a day you chose to leave,

Fireworks in Heaven, I do believe.

You made your transition on Independence Day,

With such history & meaning you leave on your way.

Matriarch, mom, cousin, friend,

So much love for Lucy forever & in the end.

You have shown us strength, faith & wisdom,

And now you meet our Lord in his Kingdom.

Yes, we'll cry, we will grieve,

With faith in God, we carry on, we achieve.

We are overwhelmed by all the support, the love,

We know you'll be watching from above.

Until we meet again one day,

We carry on, we love, we pray.
